A Business Insider reporter built an AI agent to replace themselves — reporting and writing a story with a cloned voice — with guidance from Reality Defender.
The experiment found the agent’s conversational skills too stilted for real interviews. Reality Defender CEO Ben Colman noted the wider problem of AI sycophancy: “The agreeableness seemed more fake than the actual fake voice,” likening it to a “Disney bot.”
